Experts from around the world discussed current projects and funding opportunities!
The “Tools and services supporting digital innovation of Manufacturing SMEs” webinar took place on the 26th of February 2021, 10:30-14:00h (EET). The event was organized by ICT Cluster partnering the I4MS initiative as part of the European Industry Week 2021”.
Anna Naydenova (Executive director, ICT Cluster) and Maria Roca (Senior Project Manager, FundingBox) started the event by welcoming all participants. Among the speakers were also:
- Marta Portalès - Manager of European Projects department at the Mobile World Capital
- Paul Peeters - Senior Expert Advanced Manufacturing, Agoria and Project Manager, ADMA
- Themis Kolyvas - Project Manager at European Dynamics
- Izabella Zrasinska - Project Manager, FundingBox
- Anca Marin - Project Manager, FundingBox
- Andreas Oclenburg - CEO of cloudSME
- David Vidal - Senior Consultant, CARSA
- Luisa Gonçalves - Project Manager, Vojext
- Thierry Louvet - Director at Systematic Paris Region
Within 15 minutes, each speaker had the opportunity to present their organization, activities and current project opportunities.First in the agenda was Anna Naydenova presenting the European Digital Innovation Hub for Big Data, HPC and AI - Opportunities for Industry and society in Southwest Bulgaria Region. Next, Maria Roca made a brief introduction of the I4MS initiative, and Marta Portalès described I4MS contributions to upskilling challenges of the manufacturing Industry. Paul Peeters continued the discussion with ADMA`s opportunities for manufacturing SMEs to transform to Factories of the Future.
After the break, Themis Kolyvas provided information for KITT4SMEs` funding opportunities for SMEs. Next on the Agenda was Izabella Zrasinska with presentation of PULSATE - fostering the pan-european infrastructure for empowering SMEs` digital competences in laser-based advanced and additive manufacturing: benefits and technical support. Anca Marin focused on Better Factory project - mission and goals of the project, open calls and funding opportunities. CloudSME CEO - Andreas Oclenburg gave the audience detailed information on two ongoing projects: 1) DigITBrain, under the framework of the European programme Horizon 2020, aiming at extending the Digital Twin concept and 2) CloudiFacturing, Horizon 2020, emGORA Digital Marketplace for Digital Engineering which will facilitate the access to cloud / HPC-based modelling and simulation for SMEs. Next on the list was Krasimira Shindarova presenting the DIH WORLD project and penultimate Luisa Gonçalves talking about the VOJEXT project. Last one on the Agenda was Thierry Louvet speaking on RIMA - Robotics for Inspection and Maintenance - what is it, use, etc.
During the Q&A session, participants had the opportunity to ask their questions and discuss topics raised by the speakers.
The event ended with a few words from Anna Naydenova and Maria Roca, who thanked everyone present.
